What fuels our why
At the heart of our work is a simple belief: small acts of care can grow into something extraordinary.
Like the mustard seed — "the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it becomes the largest of garden plants" — we believe that even the smallest interaction, the gentlest touch of nature, or the quietest moment in a garden can become part of someone's care. That's the belief behind every visit we make and every planting scheme we design.
What we'll never do
We won't quote a price we expect to discount. Our first quote is our honest quote. No padding, no theatrical negotiation, no mystery line items.
We won't tidy away Residents' own planting. If a Resident has put a pelargonium in a pot by their bedroom door, it stays. Our team are briefed on that before their first visit.
We won't install a plant that could harm a Resident. Every planting specification runs against a toxicity check. If something's on the no-go list for dementia gardens, it doesn't enter the site.
We won't take on more than we can deliver with the same team. Growth is geographic and phased. We'd rather turn a contract down than hand it to a subcontractor and pretend the service is the same.
Sebastian & Trevor
Sebastian
Sebastian runs the operations side — the rota, the reporting, the mobilisation plans that make multi-site contracts actually work. He's the reason our photo reports arrive the same day, and why the quarterly wellbeing summaries land in a format care home managers can drop straight into board papers. He's on site regularly, often the first point of contact for directors during mobilisation.
Trevor
Trevor leads the horticultural side of the business. He runs the audit on most new sites, designs the planting schemes that go into our sensory and dementia garden builds, and spends time on site alongside the delivery teams. His focus is the connection between planting decisions and Resident experience — which means he spends as much time looking at sightlines from dayroom windows as he does at plant health.
Book a Garden Audit
Half a day on site with Sebastian or Trevor. A written audit report within five working days. No pressure to hire us afterwards.
Book a Garden AuditHeld to a care-sector standard
Insurance
Public liability, employer's liability, and property-damage cover held at levels appropriate to care-home and care-group contracts. Certificates are included in the Procurement Pack and refreshed annually. Specific cover limits available on request — we'd rather share the current figures than publish levels that drift out of date.
DBS & Safeguarding
Every member of the team who visits a care home site holds an enhanced DBS, renewed on the standard three-year cycle. Safeguarding training is part of induction and refreshed annually. Any safeguarding concern observed on site is reported the same day through a documented escalation path — to your home manager and to our own safeguarding lead.
Risk Management
We take a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Through thorough risk assessments and strategic planning, we safeguard business continuity, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency — providing care homes with dependable and secure solutions.
Health & Safety
Safety is our priority. We adhere to rigorous health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for our employees, the care homes we work with, and their Residents. From risk assessments to comprehensive safety training, we take proactive measures to minimise hazards and maintain industry compliance.
Environmental Practice
Peat-free compost as standard. Pollinator-friendly planting specified by default in communal beds. Chemical interventions reduced to where they're genuinely necessary, never routine. Green waste chipped and composted on site where possible, or removed via licensed carriers.
Where we are, and where we're heading
Held now: full public and employer's liability insurance, documented safeguarding and health & safety policies.
In progress: CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) registration, currently targeted for completion this year. BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) membership under consideration as the team size scales.
If a specific accreditation matters to your tender or procurement process, ask — we'll tell you plainly whether we hold it, whether we're working towards it, or whether we've made a deliberate choice not to.
Responsible business
Responsibility is at the core of everything we do — from workplace culture to safety, sustainability, and ethical business practice. We hold ourselves to high standards across every part of our operation.
